Hole Patching

So I realized that I haven't shown any pictures of our holes that we have patched. So here are a few updated photos of the inside.

The Outside and In

All the changes are starting to blurr together into one huge never ending project, but every now and again I get reaquainted with how much we have done by the reaction of others. So as a way to continue to have the incentive to keep going and so that everyone can feel like they know what is going on I shall continue to update everyone.
This last weekend we finally got our contractor over to help us work on the last couple of things that needed doing. He and Brett spent the majority of the day working the the projects outside that up to that point we really hadn't touched much.
During this long work day the two managed to pull the swamp cooler off the roof and patch the hole that it came out of as well as any others that were up there. They then fixed our front porch railing by adding more cement to the corners that were otherwise non existant and made sure that the railing was securely fastened.
They also pulled down the plywood that was covering some random holes near our french doors and covered them so you can't see them as much, and fixed the spot below the window to be something besides just plywood.
All this was good and very large changes, however, probably the biggest and most noticable change is that of the deck.
When we moved in the deck was only partly painted as it was all chiping off and the railings looked like a post with bird feet attaching it to the other post, and only some of it was covered with lattice, which made the whole thing quite dangerous. Brett had pulling this railing down the week before and sadly enough the thing felt safer with no railing at all. This weekend though the contractor and Brett worked on putting in a whole new railing which is beautiful and very sturdy. It was nice to get so much done in so little time.
The next two to three days brett and I spent priming and painting the new deck, the carport posts and a couple other random exposed wood outside. So now it is all done outside and look beautiful!
Next I believe we will finish off the inside with the final touches on sheetrock in the kitchen and other places in the house, some more painting, and our pillars that separate the living room and kitchen. It will be nice to have everything done and looking decent.
