Halloween

We were the flintstones this year.

We were also in charge of a family party where we had dinner, played a bunch of games, visited and had dessert. It turned out to be lots of fun :)

Army Crawl 101:

This is the beginning of Nakita crawling forward. This was on september 30th.

As you see it is a one armed army crawl - she is still figuring it out. :)

Growing Up

Nakita has been steadily growing up. She gets more mobile and aware of her surroundings everyday. She is sitting up on her own and eating solids. She has two teeth on the bottom front that broke through about the beginning of September at 6 months old.

 

She is her Daddy's girl as you can see below:

Its October! 7 Months old

She is such a joy and blessing in our lives and we are so happy and thankful that she is a part of our family.

1/4 Century

On Sept 28, Brett turned 25 or 1/4 Century old. :) The night before his parents came down to visit and took us out to dinner for his birthday. On his birthday he mostly worked in the yard while I made his cake. We did dinner and cake and ice cream and presents and played some games and watched a movie. It was a good day. Nakita had also started playing with her hair so we have a few photos of that too.

Grass!

During the last few weeks or months or so we have been going up to the Roy/Layton area every weekend to help out Brett's parents. They recently bought a home and we have been helping them pack, move, and get their yard all put together. The most recent of these trips was to help them lay sod in the yard so they could have grass. The project took about 3 hours to do the entire yard, and there was still some sod left over.

As most of you know our home doesn't have much grass, in fact it has more weeds and concrete, but we had been working on cleaning up our yard to make it look better. So we asked for the extra sod to put down in our yard.

Lucky for us we were able to get it, and so we now have a beautiful GREEN front lawn. We are very happy and excited that our yard now looks so nice and normal and hope to be able to put more grass in the back yard next year.

At the end of August we attended the funeral of Jaxtyn Stewart Parker. It was a very sad loss for our family and he will always be remembered and missed. While at the funeral home Grandma Parker tickled Nakita and got her to giggle quite a bit.
