It's a ....

GIRL!

20 Weeks

On Friday October 12th we had an ultrasound for me being at 20 weeks which is halfway through the pregnancy. In this ultra sound they looked at our baby and me and took a bunch of measurements to see how our baby was growing and make sure all was well.

As it turns out our baby was a little ahead of schedule on size and the doctor said based on the size of everything my due date should be March 3rd. They originally told me March 5th, but only time will tell as to when our baby will be born.

We also of course found out the gender of our baby and we happily surprised and excited to find out that it is a girl. As it turns out she is quite the little wiggler. She kept trying to turn over and to suck on her thumb. Every time the doctor moved to look at her head or arms she would move so that we have a very good view and could see everything that was needed. Turns out she liked having her picture taken, but didn't like getting poked and prodded to move around.

The doctor said that she is probably about 6-7in long and that doesn't include her legs at this point. So I think we are in for a long baby but she will be beautiful. We were also able to get a couple good shots of her hands and feet which are cute.

I am looking forward to meeting our little girl.

Brett's Birthday

On September 28th was Brett's birthday. We spent some time with family that morning as we attended the funeral for his grandmother and then afterward we spent some time with my family and had dinner with his parents and headed home that night. Once we were home I let Brett open the gifts that I had gotten for him. We decided to do most of the celebrating on saturday as friday was very busy and he didn't feel like it was a day for him because of the funeral.

On saturday the 29th we spent the day mostly with each other and for a bit with his brother Ethan and Brother-in-law Ben. We went mini-golfing and out for dinner and then when we came home we had cheesecake and had Brett blow out his candles. He enjoyed it overall and we are both looking forward to another year of his life. :)
