July - Brett and I had the opportunity to be Ma and Pa on Trek for our stake. We went to a ranch up in WY area from the 9-12th. It was a difficult experience for us as most of our "kids" were 17 years old and had some attitudes about being on trek and such. However, it was also a good learning experience and overall brought us closer together.
I also went on the annual Father-Daughter trip on the 25th of July. We took a hike up in the Unitas. We walked up by Wall Lake and some others and just enjoyed each others company. Then we stopped in Park City on our way home for some dinner and a bit of shopping. It was fun as usual.
August - We decided to add to our curb appeal and put up a fence on the side of our house. We ended up just doing two giant gates with the idea that we or anyone after us could then park a trailer or boat or something behind the fence without having too much trouble getting it back there.
We also went through the Ogden Temple open house. It was very beautiful and nice to spend some time with the family.
At the end of the month we went on a weekend get-away with Brett's parents up to Jackson Hole area. We also stopped and visited Bear World. Nakita loved being able to see all the bears, found a stuffed one to take home, and got to go in the petting zoo part and touch some dear and goats and such.

September - We took a few hikes up in the Canyons near our house, and otherwise just spent time at home with each other. We enjoy watching Nakita grow every day and see her personality come out more and more as she grows.

October - Just some random family stuff. We found a giant teddy bear at Costco one weekend that Nakita was fascinated with.
We had a little Halloween party at Marissa's house with the family.

| We played a game where you stack starbursts on a stick in your mouth and the person who gets the most in a minute wins. |
On Halloween Nakita dressed up as a mermaid, although most people thought she was Elsa from Frozen. She loved going out trick-or-treating, especially when she figured out that people would give her treats, and was upset when it was over.
November - Brett and I took a little vacation together down to Bryce Canyon area for our Anniversary. It was a little bit cold but still as beautiful as ever and there actually weren't that many people so the trails were nicer that way.

We decided that our house needed some new windows and so we got them replaced. It was nice to be able to have a house that would actually stay warm and to have it a bit quieter in the house, but mostly it was nice to be able to see out of any window and have screens to help with the bugs later on.

December - We went to temple square one night and Nakita loved all the lights and just kept pointing at them all and saying "WOW" and "pretty" and "tree" It was quite adorable.

Brett built a bed for Nakita to give to her on Christmas. It is a twin bed and as soon as we set it up for her and she realized what is was she was very excited and kept telling us that it was her bed.
We also made the big announcement to the family on Christmas that we would be expecting Baby #2 for our little family come July 2015.
